Four proposals have been voted YES by the majority of the ABCR membership that returned their ballot. Please find the Proposals as well as the detailed number of YES/NO votes below:

Proposal 1: Allow the Registration of Straight Full Stallions: 46 YES / 39 NO
Proposal 2: Allow the Registration of Part Bred Curly Stallions: 45 YES / 40 NO
Proposal 3: Allow the Registration of Out Crossed Curlies: 48 YES / 37 NO
Proposal 4: Allow the Registration of BLM certified Curlies: 61 YES / 24 NO

Striving for Success – the American Bashkir Curly Registry Awards Program

One of the benefits of ABCR membership is the annual Awards Program, which recognizes outstanding horses and riders based on points accumulated in designated divisions. Since Curly horses can really do it all – from dressage to barrel racing to driving to trail – the ABCR has created a diverse awards program to honor the different talents of riders and horses.   Wild Curly Horse herd discovered in South America!

We have been informed that there are Curly Horses in South America in a special zone that is hard to reach (only by horse) in the province of Río Negro! These Curly Horses have always been there in a wild form. Here are pictures of domesticated mares. We are in contact with the owners, that looked for these horses for years and finally found them. As soon as we find out more, we will let you know!
